So, are any of our crew back from the Snowy ride yet?
What was the weather like?
How many cops escorted you around the mountains?
How many bikes came to grief?
How many ran wide and nearly took out another bike?
Who won the big prize?

All these questions...... I should have been there.

I departed Canb Sat AM for a glorious day's riding with my Dad on his trusty GS1000. Beaut sunny weather, but not too hot. No doubt cops were out, but I did not notice one either on the road or parked. Kept mainly to indicated 120 getting there. Not too many bikes, I presume many made a long w/end goin Fri maybe.

I got stamps on my entry via stops at Cooma, Berridale, Dalgety, Jindabyle, Thredbo. I don't know but a cold coke was fine for me at Berridale whereas quite a few were downing a JB& Coke mixer can...they must've been the pillions surely

I heard a Goldwing pillion saying the nearly got they leg smash by bike running wide in opp direction..inches in it only. At Thredbo a trailer pull up with 1 v. 2nd had green Kawasaki sports, front wheel completely lying over like it hit a wall, sorry no pix there.

$20k Honda went to someone who made an effort at least - some1 from Echuca. Oh well I got more chance in the $5 draw on Nov 19.

I had planned to do the Khancoban, Cabramurra, Adaminaby snowys hwy ride on the return...but waking in Jindabyne on Sun, grey clouds and no wet weather gear had me head'n straight home at 130-140 up the Monaro. Besides...got 2 wks annual leave from 2day...so got time to get down that away again soon

Cooma stop

Dalgety

Dalget Pub

Arrived Thredbo

Thredbo Visitors centre

Mass ride arrives

Gathering Thredbo village green, raised $250k, I didn't hear no. of riders but 5,000 entries would make up that amount of funds @ $50ea. Mark

Your right Monyx, at least some of us made the effort!!!
We had a great ride down on Friday with a group of friends, beautiful day on Saturday on those big sweepers. Saw 2 cop cars all weekend and personally know of no offs. We were sticking below 140 so cops tended to leave us alone. Had a good relaxing day on Sunday at Thredbo, got rain on the way home on Monday but all up a good weekend.
Good to meet you and hope to see you there next year.

Mrs Garbo here,
the new F800ST demo should be on the floor at Brisons by Saturday. Had a look at the F800S and I really like the look of even that bike!! I was positive I would hate it judging by all the photos I have seen of it but it looks quite good. The ST should be even better Sounds really good but put a remus pipe on it and sounds sweeeeeeeeet! I have a new bike ordered but the final say is after the test ride.
Hope to catch up with you on Saturday.
