Traction Control - Mode selector

I've gotta say that the mode selector on the new GSX range is terrific.

I had to ride home from work in the rain today and I chucked it into C mode for the first time for any longer than a few hundred metres.
Yes it drags you back down to like being on a 600cc bike but the traction and smoothness make it really safe and builds your wet riding confidence quickly. I have always been very edgy with the 99 bus in the wet around town. The highway is usually ok but in the tight stuff you never know when that rear end is going to spin out.
On the Gen II in C mode it is very stable.
I had a go in B mode on the way to work as well, even though the road was dry. You could certainly feel the power cut and I reckon that if you rode around in B mode for a while, then hit the button, it would be like a shot of NOS.
I'll give the B mode a run on a long cruise and see if it is ok.

It will be interesting to see if C mode has any effect on fuel economy.

Does the rev range that the bike feels most comfortable at change between these modes for around town riding?

I find myself riding around town in 5th most of the time in A mode but we don't get much stop start traffic in Newcastle.
I've only used C mode in the wet.
I reckon in heavy traffic B or C would be best, unless you need a real burst of power to get out of trouble.

well i must admit a BIG difference in the traction modes i was mostly driving in B mode yesterday and i had a fuel consumption of 260km and the fuel light just opened..i was doing 140-160km on the bike as an average speed more or less!!so im quite happy with this

C mode puts the bike in 119h.p i read that somewhere and yes you can tell the difference in each mode seperatly, amazing job suzuki!!! excellentClap
