does anyone know why there are weights under the footpegs? the pegs look strong enough to me without them.

nfi - I get vibes through mine - but I am about to replace them as well so....

I took the weights of and havnt noticed any more vibration.the weights weigh 400gms

They are meant to prevent vibration, according to what I've been told, but I took them off (and the rubber tops) and had no vibration at all...

I installed Gixxer pegs.... and still no vibration....

Betcha the heavy pegs get dropped on the K8 to trim off some weight.... should be at least 1 hp gain.... :lol:

They only prevent vibrations at speeds over 260kph.

I got told a long time ago that my brain would turn to mush at anything over 110km/h. I'm old and heading for senility. I don't want to push my luck.
