g'day,
found the wed site while meandering around the net recently. Seems like you people on the 'Busa were having lots of fun. I have been quite intimidated by the 'Busa and its reputation for some time but decided I had better try one out in a demo.
Short answer is that that the GSXF 750 with 7000K's has gone and I get a nice new Black and Silver 'Busa on Tuesday.
Can't wait and can't sleep. Haven't been like this since I was a teenager (I think).
Am based in the Newcastle area and am keen to join onto any Sydney runs etc if heading up to Mangrove Mountain and the Wollombi pub etc.
Hi Ippy
Congratulations and welcome to the club. I too recently traded in my copper '99 busa for the black/grey '01
model. I did 32,000 k on my copper and loved every minute of it and I'm sure the new one will provide the same good times.
There is a growing contingent in Sydney and they are meeting for rides, you can locate them on this board and join in with them, even initiate by posting here.
If you ever have any queries about your busa or want to undertake any mods I suggest you contact Col at "10 Tenths Motorcycle Performance" (02)-9602 9714 he is a club member and you will see him posting here quite often.
Anyway, enjoy your busa and ride it safely.
Oh, and just watch your license!
Cheers
Les
welcome to the wonderful world of busa ownership im sure you going to love it
G'day Ippy,
Welcome, have some fun here and enjoy the friendship.
Regards Col
Hello there, actually there are some active Busa members in the Newcastle area.
In Sydney, Fenda & I usually go for a ride Saturday morning, leaving from Bar Coluzzi in Darlighurst around 9am.
We get down to Wisemans Ferry and Mt White quite often but sometimes we go the other way to Stanwell Tops.
Anyhow if want to send me a an email fox@siliconnoise.com I'll let you know ....
There;s nothing like riding with other Busas!
Now that the rain has cleared in this area, I have actually taken delivery of the Busa and ridden home. Yee haa!
On the way I managed to avoid a young arsehole who decided to do a "U" turn in front of me without the benefit of blinker indications. Wife who was following in car was impressed when the back wheel apparently left company with the ground temporarily. Stoppies on new tyres not usually recommended!
I hope for clear skies on Mothers Day so that I can bed the bike in with a little trip to Mt White cafe and then home to Newcastle via the Wollombi Pub.
I now know what you guys and girls have been on about. Why you need the extra power that most of you apparently are fitting to the Busa is beyond me at this stage.
I am over the moon!
If there are any running in hints that might be useful I would appreciate the assistance.
