Brand New
#1
G'day all,

Got my piece of grease lightning a few weeks ago (2003 grey/silver) , but due to holidays and an injury :"> , I'm still running the baby in. Just had a few points that someone may be able to help with prior to her (first perfect female) going to the 1000k servicing.

1. Excessive engine vibe at 4,500 - 5,000 RPM.

2. Weird high pitch grinding noise coming from gearbox? in 3rd and 4th.

3. Excessive vibe in right foot peg after 700 km from new.

Anybody else had any of these?

regards,
Trav.

Most of the vibes go away after a few thousand kays. Give it time...the engine is just settling in, but if getting worse, consult your doctor!! Mine had them, but just dissappered when got my bike tuned up at 6000k service, after a good run-in time!

Congrats on your new purchase.... RUBBER DOWN

The vibe around 4800 revs only appears because the bike is sooo damn smooth every where else. (Don't beleive me? Ride an R1!) Fit a 4 into 1, remap!
Lower the gear lever angle! It WILL assist with changes.
Factory setting is set to high up in angle.
Have fun.
Cheers, Phil. Riding, giving my 2c worth and not talking.
