I need some help!

My bike's been running fantastic . . . 'till now (f'kn prick that it is . . . sorry darlin' YOU'RE STLL ME FAVE!!)

In traffic the other day it all went pear shaped! Pig rooted and generally went balls up!!!
We're talkin' serious traffic here, not your Melbourne mamby pamby I've just wet my nappy type Elizabeth St. jam here. I mean Serious Pit street, George St. where the F!@#K am I and how do I get back to God's cuntry(Nth Shore) type jam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gonna try the oxygen sensor mod type thingy bit. Doubt that'll work but here's hopin'
Any ideas??????????????? It did it all the way back up to the Central coast. (An hour later.) It still pulled like a demon when acceleratin' (gota love tha 'busa) ain't nuthin like a 'busa @+ 8K rpm on song! . . . but at cruze it was still a prick!! Kept hunting and generally giving me the shits even after stopping to re-fuel. What do you guys reckon????. I'ts driving me crazy!

No 2 . . . I've done all the fuel filter mods, and since then my baby has never let me down, or "Failed to proceed" In fact, has answered every call(and still does) with unbridled enthusiasm when called upon!(Gotta love much clutch slip, much throttle, and much much much hang on and pray!!!)

No 3 . . . I may be turnin' queer!!!!!!!!!! Moving to the latte luvin' mexican state of Victoria. Will let you all know, but at least it'll be just over the border near Wodonga! (Good old windy, non patrolled roads of my youth. . . YEEHA!!) see a silver/copper blurrrrr round there it'll prob'y be me!

Have you modified the airbox?

The airbox is original, unmodified, still even has the flapper connected.

Are u talking about surging while riding at constant speed, because iv'e encounted the same problem on a really hot day.

On the free way one day about 6000rpm ,went to boot it and all of a sudden it stalled and surged like it was running out of fuel.....go figure. hasn't done it since. Something similar to having a clogged fuel filter.

Iv'e got a PC2 and i'm not really happy with it. would luv to upgrade to a motec system or similar....

But besides that I have a slight surging problem in 3rd at 3-4000 rpm since iv'e had it, Col (10/10ths) said it was just the way the PC2 works sometimes.......it dosn't operate quick enough, and u can catch it sleeping.

Running standard electronics.
The oxygen sensor and airbox had me thinking over the weekend. If the air filter was really blocked(and it hasn't been changed since Noah was a boy) could this be the reason for the surging? Tried removing the filter and it felt much smoother, and more responsive. Tried a couple of time with in and out and could could really notice a difference - but were talking slow around the block here. Or could it be my imagination? Is there any logic in this? Do you think this could contribute? I'll get a new air cleaner before riding it again in any case. Are there aftermarket ones that are better/cheaper than the stock ones?

BMC race filter, breathes like its never had a cigarette in its life, not cheap but I have no regrets, best filter for the bus imho.
