Motogp trip
#1
Hi all

I have returned home from the motogp weekend - 8,500+ k's for the trip. Not bad for a weekend outing. I didn't get to hook up with any of you - even though i was wearing the shirt with the logo on it. Ah well maybe next time. some nice roads in Vic specially around the high country.

Yep, great ride Baz.
Did you have any dramas along the way?
I'm glad the P.I. turned on good weather for those that made the trip.
I think I'll do it again for the Supers next year.

Seems to have been a quiet year , No body get pulled over ,harassed by pigs , booked or locked up? Have any accidents or troubles.

no dramas busgo - one of those rare trips where everything went perfect. 6 of us made the trip on a range of bikes my 99 bus, zzr1100. vtr1000, st1100, new 1100 guzzi with the oldest a 1980 xs1100. talking to another group at Mt Beauty and it appears that one of them got done in nsw for 150k's an hour = $1500 + no licence. Top ride (and weather) over Hotham and down past Omeo on the way down and back from Cann Rv to Cooma to Tumit on the way back. Planning to do it again for the 800cc motogp year. Top old pub at Ensay - we had to stay overnight which worked in good for the barry sheene do.

An FJR rider friend of mine had some dramas on the way home.
1st he got done for speeding but I don't know the details.
2nd he was following another rider who went wide and over the side of a drop. He parked his bike and ran back to help only to find his bike laying on its side when he looked back.
It turns out his bike suffered more damage by falling off the stand than the guy who dumped it.
