EXHAUST SYSTEMS - WHICH ONE ?
#1
G'day all, I'm after an exhaust system, or just a set of mufflers, to fit to my Busa. I was thinking of going to MegaCycle and getting it done. What would be a recommended system to fit for a bit better sound, not after that much HP improvement though ?? & do you need the whole system or slip on a set of cans??

Maybe we could start a running graph/tally on the brands of exhausts being used, like we do on the Tyres topic? (Deemester - good idea or not?)

Any feedback on what brands to use and not to use would be excellent as I'm sure there's plenty of great systems on some bikes out there!!!!

Cheers, Peter

P.S. are SBK any good, or is Remus the way to go ??

Aero Cat,

Race Replica in Geelong Road Brooklyn have a pair of bolt on Carbon Fibre Arrow mufflers for a Busa (good condition second hand) for $600 the pair if you're interested. Considered them myself but would rather spend the money on braided lines and a new screen first.

I know I'll get in trouble for "advertising" somebody's business on this board....but I really don't see the problem if its useful to somebody.

Let us know what you end up putting on.

I have a 2k model busa that has Remus slip ons as far as a good exhaust note and power they are great with only the pink wire mode my bike has recorded 176 HP on Col's Dyno at 10 Tenths which was compared with other Busa's at the time.(RE:Sydney Dyno day Blue busa ruled the day LOL)
There were full systems and slip ons, standard systems and 4 into 1 systems including some of the most popular brands, it made the most power (that was after most of them had adjustments made to get them at there peak) so if you have doubts on Remus because there not the most popular in the pole don't. Popularity isn't always the best this is not an add for Remus just a happy customer KEITH

I'll vouch for that, my old '99 with Remus slipons blipped another '99 with Akropovic 4/1 on Col's dyno and my HP figures were almost identical to yours Keith.

So as far as performance and note is concerned, Remus is a hard act to beat.

G`day folks!
Just another brand here to check out www.madaz.com.au , i`ve got the stainless on my `00
Look and sound great , plus being locally made mean they are repairable (quickly) if you take a tumble

I have a full Hindle system on my busa and I am rapped with the sound and performance that I get from it not to mention the weight loss over the standard system. But you will need to get it remapped to get best out of it
