New purpose designed Bike insurance

I saw in The Victorian Sunday Herald-Sun yesterday of a new insurance made just for motorbikes, being launched this week. Did anyone see the article in the Cars Guide section. I think they had a website of ... www.insuremyride.com.au

It was in the Cars Guide under www.carsguide.com.au

It was meant to be pretty good, as to not insure stupis hit they normally is covered on car insurance, and you insure for the K's you do a year ...

I saw an add for em in the current AMCN big two pager with the phrase "because Volvo drivers are out there" across one page. I'll probably jump on to their site and have a look later so I'll drop back when I do and let you know how I go with it. <i></i>

just got a quote insured $16900
comprehensive
$613.10

I got a quote on both my bikes and I was not impressed

$569.83 on the gixxer
$468.80 on the FZ-1

Ihave my busa insured with I M R . $545.00, Comprehensive I also have a VZ1600 which was around the $400 mark better than I could get else where.

Don't forget, they ARE Shannons... just a different name. WQBE do a "better any quote" deal at the moment:

Just got off the phone with Shannons, Arista and WQBE

Quotes (for me):

Shannons: $834.96

Arista (My Bike Insurance): $670.90 (1300 274 782, www.aristaunderwriting.com.au)

WQBE: came in at $674, but did the "price match" thing and said it's $650 (1800 243464)

Needless to say, I just cancelled my current insurance with Shannons! What a relief!
