update on Dave & Megs crazy aussie adventure

For those that have seen the Tathra thread here is the update on our aussie trek.

we got set back by a couple of weeks as the grey nomads - our little support crew (meg's mum and dad ) blew a head casket the day we were to be starting - so we just blew time cavorting around nsw and vic amusing ourselves - on the busa (of course).

mechanic finally gave the all clear on Fri the 12th - so bright and early we roared (well the Busa roared - the nomads we rather more .....sedate with caravan in tow - up the Maquarrie pass)

first night in the bush camp just outside of goobong (who the hell thinks these names up?) pic of the trailer all set up below in attachments.

so far our adventure has been,

Queensland to Victoria(Bendigo area)
Vic to shell harbour
shell harbour to goobong
goobong to Hay
Hay to Midura
Mildura to Pt Augusta
Pt Augusta to Ceduna - will be staying here for another day to check out the fishing - didnt do so well fishing the Murray - will have to try my luck here.

unfortunatley the "support crew" can no longer support us as megs mum hurt her back - so they headed back to shell harbour from mildura.

mmm.......so....just the two of us...alone...by ourselves ..whatever shall we do,lol...ok time for plan b to kick in - from mildura to Perth, all by ourselves, stopping as often as i can con megs into it, to "test" the suspension on the camper trailor, lol.

Busa is going good am getting approx 320km per tank on "cruising " speed -(will not specify on public forum)

trailer pulls well, a bit of a pain at slow speeds but no drama as yet and it opens to a queen size bed - very comfy - and keeps megs happy, lol.

so far have done 5300km since leaving home (qld) - taking it easy - checking off all of the "bucket list" as we go.

since leaving qld, have sighted only 2 busa's - candy apple in Bendigo (vic) and one at Maccas - Goulbourn (nsw) have seen plenty of other bikes (not Busa's) and got to hear the roar of about 40 or so rebels cruise past at Yass (nsw)
