I've always wanted to take a 6cyl kwaka 1300 for a blast.
Just swapped the owner for a ride on the Hayabusa.
- Z1300G 1984 fuel injected model. Lovely bike to ride and a tribute to it's owner.

Now . . . where's that Vincent?

How Did the bloke feel about his ride on the Busa ?

Hey Greeny,
It was a wet day, with wet roads, so he didn't push/twist the throttle.
He wasn't impressed with the riding position, saying it was too cramped, and that after only a short time could feel his back and too much pressure on wrists. He prefers a more upright riding position (one of his other rides, and most modern, is a slightly newer 1995 CBR1000, which while smaller than his Z1300, and his CBX1000 is still more "roomy" than the 'busa)

He was however very impressed with the smoothness and usability of the power. Before we swapped he had said he had heard all sorts of stories, and was a little apprehensive with riding it on a wet road. After, he was amazed just how easy it was to control, with masses of torque, and you could feel the urge that it wanted to go, but not aggressive and peaky. I doubt he pushed it up into 7K+ territory - which as we all know is where the gloves come off and animal starts to come out. I was also very "tame" on his bike, because it was an older bike, a classic, and most importantly - not mine! but his bike ran beautifully, and is well sorted, and apart from the pegs being way too far forward (into cruiser territory)it felt like a modern bike. It didn't feel like I would expect a bike to feel which is that old and running a "club plate." Which shows me I need to do heaps mechanically, brakes and suspension on my old CBX to get it up to original spec.
