ECU Flashing
#1
Before everyone thinks "oh no, here we go again", I want to take this opportunity to thank Pete from Pete's Pitstop (fasterfaster) for the excellent job he did on my ECU.I haven't met the bloke, and my bike hasn't been out of NSW, but sent my ECU to Pete and had it back in my bike within 5 days (includes snail mail time) Clap . The bike is so much smoother and easier to ride Biker . I can't believe I rode the bike in standard form for so long. For those that are still riding the Busa as it came out of the crate Wtf , you don't know what you are missing.
Once again, thanks to Pete for excellent service and a job well done (I know he doesn't visit here anymore, but I told him I would post up thanks for his workmanship).

Its like everyting you can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink it
Glad you have seen the light Pi_thumbsup
On the up side you saved heaps & nothing will go wrong with the stock ECU, with the power commander thing its all about $$$ then more $$$ with adds ons & more when it goes wrong, been there done that Pi_freak

No need for a TRE anymore Andrew....timing retard gone, top speed limiter gone, and custom fuel map loaded in.

Nice. I meant the timing retarding taken away by flAshing.. I wasn't sure he could or would do fuel maps etc without the bike. IDE be keen to get mine flashed but simmo won't help!

I was thinking that after I responded. I've gotta get mine dynoed (this Friday if weather permits) just to check air/fuel ratios. If it needs adjusting, Pete will design new fuel map, and I'll convince Simmo to load it in for me (shhhh....don't tell Simmo, he doesn't know that yet). Coolsmiley

having a 99model -with little restrictions...how much better is Flashing than using a PowerCommander???

I don't know about the amount of adjustment available through both methods. but with flashing, there is no extra hardware under the seat and no wiring...just the standard ECU. That alone was enough incentive for me.

CeeJay, Keep me posted on your results.

I spoke to Pete breifly and he said you were really pleased with the changes.
I'm interested in getting this done myself, so am keen to hear how you progress.

Pleased would be an understatement.....I'm about to sound like a professional surfer but "I'm stoked!" The difference is chalk and cheese. Don't think about getting it done, just do it.....I don't know why I waited so long.
