Overdue for chain and sprockets to be changed and wondering what else is important to get checked at these sort of K's.

If I'm going to book it in and get the valves checked again, what else is a 'must'?
I'll pull out the workshop manual and check it out but appreciate your ideas.
Still running the original cam(?) chain.
Clutch plates were replaced @ ~60,000 I think...
Should I get the coolant flushed/replaced? (it seems too 'difficult' to do myself (air pockets))

Change all the fluids, what sort of brake lines do you have? if they're stockers and haven't been changed, it might be a good opportunity to put some braided lines on.

Don't sweat the coolant, just dump the existing, take the hose off at the lowest point on the left side of the motor and let it all drain, then put the hose back on and fill the radiator, start the motor with the radiator cap off, as the bubbles come up and the coolant lowers, top it up slowly. You'll see when the coolant has filled as the level will come up and stay up without bubbles, put the cap back on and go for a ride, make sure you'll filled the remote reservoir up to between the high and low point on the marks on the plastic. Let the bike cool completely then check your level at the radiator.

DON'T TAKE THE RADIATOR CAP OFF WHEN SHE'S HOT!

Thought I had better warn you just in case bloke. Nopt teaching you how to suck eggs, just keeping you safe. Pi_thumbsup

Once you've checked the level and topped her up, that's it after you again check the reservoir, the plastic one on the left fairing. Keep the level between the high and low marks.

Good luck, tell us how you went. Where do you live? Close enough to one of the spanner boys who can assist? If you get to Canberra we'll show you how to do all the mindane parts.

Mine's done 108,000

Just check it out, or get a good mechanic to suggest what's needed.

Should be okay for the next 100K though. If you want to, change hoses and oil lines... flush radiator, bleed brake lines...

After doing lots of inspections, you may find that it was not necessary but it is worth it for peace of mind.

I know this is an old thread, but might be useful for high milers. I'm on 145,000km.

In last year have;
Replaced the clutch (remarkably, not sure it was needed, although needs new basket)
All fluids
Braided brake hoses
new battery, stator and rectifier (always had electrical problems)
BMC filter still okay with clean and oil
new plugs of course

------------------- and paid to have done

new fuel pump
injectors cleaned
throttle bodies done
new chain and sprockets
new CCT (will replace chain)
dyno - 150bhp across all 4 something or others (I never listen to this bit)

It has never run better - feels incredible.
A part from things like clutch, chain, fluids etc...all done with bits from a wrecker where possible.
Total cost - $2850 cheap for another 100,000km
