New K6 and Old Blackbird

Yeah Nemesis,

I bought a 66 coupe from the states around 10 years ago just before I meet my now wife,.Like everything was put aside so I could build a new house which we did 3 years ago.

Still it's hard to imagine life without a bike, so the car got put on hold yet again. Maybe if we can sell the GS, then we can start the full resto on the mustang next year.

Cheers

Mate i done something similar,i have a charger myself,
an a dodge dart from america.
An keep contemplating which 1 to throw the money at.
But you know what,my charger is a million times rarer
an harder to get than some mass produced u.s muscle car.
Dont get me wrong,i dont know the details of your pony,if its rare,
mach 1,shelby, gt350 etc. But they made a SHITload of mustangs...
They were so popular an sold like hotcakes
back in the day!
Hell cuz of your ford, plymouth had a hard time selling there
barracudas!

Anyhow,
I think your gs is rarer Pi_thumbsup
Its an original gs right?
If it was me,id restore that, goes without saying tho,
i dont know what pony car you have an you sure as hell
dont have to tell me!

Its crazy to think that a phase 3 gtho is worth more now
than ANY mustang that was made!
Ive yet to see one go past the 700,000 mark.
Yet ive heard of a guy turning down 900 grand for his HO3...
Do correct me if im wrong tho about a pony car thats
been auctioned.

Dont mean to threadjack brother, just thought id have
some quick talk with a fellow busa an muscle car lover!

You have good taste mark Biker

Nemesis,

Mate the good thing is we own all the cars, so we are not in any need to sell them We also have the bonus that my has finished uni and we are both working, so out spending power is much better. IF we could cut down our free will spending habits, then we would have money to really throw into both cars.

My muzzy is nothing special like your Dart, but it is something I wanted to own since a kid. I worked hard to buy it and that took me near 17 years. So that is my reward for hard work.

My instint at the moment is to keep both cars, get the help and education on the Falcon. Get her restored and then move over to the Mustang, same deal with her and have to older classic cars.

My only wish is when we built the house, he had added an extra meter to the rear and to one side of the garage. Just for my tools, compressor and other things.

Mate I would kill for a Hemi Cuda, Charger, Dart, even a Daytona. As Ford biased as I am there are many Mopars and Chevs I would own. Even throw in the few Holdens.

Cheers mate, it's a hard life?

Great looking bike. Smitten hope it brings years of happiness for you both. Keep a lookout for MrPolice, they are a bit of a magnet.

The GS in the background brought back memories. My younger brother had an XT GS, whilst I had a R/T charger. (but that was last century) I'd love an old convertable mustang one day, but for now sensibility rules and a Toyota lives in the garage.(TRD)

While I wish it was worth 10 Busas, it does not have the super roo decal on the guard and is a JG34 and not a JG33 (I missed out big time around 10 years ago). The car is a factory GS and not a GT, it comes with a mere 302 windsor, Top Loader and 9". She has some rust and needs a respray. We are tossing up on selling her or striping her down, cutting out the rust and welding new sections. A friend who is a panel beater has offered a MIG, his services and a little time to teach me to correct methods in cutting, MIG welding and getting her prepped for paint. Once completed worth around $50,000 +. Honestly the rust repair is very minor and a chance to broaden my experience with body work and paint prep. It will also give me a chance to build up my tool box as well.

In fact we had someone come and look at it this afternoon and made a really silly offer of $10,000 for it. Wife wants $15,000.

The funds were going towards the other Ford in the garage that shares space with the Busa. She is American and comes with a 289 Windsor and I guess cant be seen in the picture. But my dream car since the age of 14.

I guess I have too many toys and a very understanding wife. NO chance of a divorce boys as I am the luckiest man alive. Yes

Lovely looking bike Mark. Good move.
Good weather, good woman, good road, good bike, good-bye!!
