Hey guys ,
Anyone on facebook ? Especially in Newcastle / Hunter Valley area ? I have joined a group called Sunday Riders - Newcastle. They organize day rides on weekends and some overnighters. Great bunch of friendly people. Best outings I have had in years. Any fellow Busa riders want to add me just do search for Michael Cross.

WTF do people need to read this drivel on twitser etc are they that starved for crap in thier lives - I was watching a program on the mindless box the other day and people actually tweeting (or watever) to each other telling them they are having a coffee etc FFS we have become a society of mindless zombies that need stimulation through other peoples boring lives. I agree that there is a place for information sharing like medical etc but man how do people actually get through the day with this shite lol

There are quite a few busa riders living around you.
Not many in the age bracket for facebook though. Most of us are in our glory years between 30 and 60...
We resort to this forum to organise our rides.

You will find them regularly in the Riding Not Talking discussions.

I use Facebook to send pics of new Bub to family save posting all over Aus plus i would not no where half of them live

One thing i dont like it has just sent out a message to everyone on my email list to take a look at some new pics ,
and i dont like some of the people in my email contacts

You place your photo and some details on face book.
You join a forum and place some more details,dob,name etc.
You sell something to someone on the forum which you have to give details to IE:bank account,address.
Does anyone see where this is going and how easy it is to gain info!!!!I can scan through the members list here and find a few DOB'S,tel numbers and all that is needed to create a financial problem to some innocent victim.
Face book is a huge tool for scammers and as recently as a month ago a haven for child molesters.Authority's in Europe discovered that these 40 cal recipients(pedos) have hacked into accounts and stole info and pics to trade with each other.Unfortunately Australians are not very security aware as we are the biggest scammed nation(per capita) when it comes down to Nigerian fraud.
Rod it is a cheaper alternative to post but is it really???????
