I have always said that I would never buy a new car. Just a total waste of money, because once you drive it away you lose heaps, . . .
BUT,
I Bought a new car yesterday.
I was in the market for one about 1-2yr old with about 20-30k on the clock. When you take off the 30% the govt are willing to throw in to get you to buy a new car and not 2nd hand, it was actually cheaper to buy new. Plus you get new tyres, 12 months rego, new windscreen, new car warranty, (also someone like me hasn't thrashed the life out of it), it was really a no brainer. Plus I can depreciate it over the next 3 years and get another 20% back. - I like this recession!!
Do you think they'll do the same for bikes? A brand spanking new 2009 busa for about $9k sounds fair to me.
Bet the 2nd hand market is about to go completely belly up!!
Still, if creates jobs I'll just have to put up with it.
