I'm giving the opening speach at our two-day major literary conference, tonight. I'm wrestling with 'who' and 'whom' right now. You KNOW if I f*** it up I've got 40 of Australia's top writers and a VERY clever audience who will all delight in correcting me. AND I've thrown in a hey hey It's Saturday joke which no-one but me will get.

WTF!!

That is a LOT of instructions.... breathe, go invisible, imagine them in their underwear..... I'll be so flat out I'll forget what I'm doing. Also navigating GIRL SHOES (not my finest skill) and introducing Tripod (who are performing). Thank god no-one has a camera.

PHEW! Didn't trip, everyone laughed at my Hey Hey Its Saturday joke and Tripod were LOVELY! My staff had $50 on me getting overconfident and mispronouncing skitHOUSE, but I think I did ok. Only one person ended up in the emergency ward, but I'm FAIRLY sure it wasn't the dinner......

Girlie shoe thingy very impressive. Said the girl missing wearing her very scary big boots to nut crack someone - did I say that out loud??? Oh my elastic sided boots are comfortable...

The patient was a trick subject of the night to see if you would dial o o o or go all 911 on us trying to remember....
