Well, topped up the fluid this morning, it took about half a litre, rode it over to the mechanics and he had a good look at it, seems OK now and appears the coolant got out the overflow, it does have a dead switch for triggering the fan, so that's been ordered and in the meantime the fans been set to run constantly.

This engine seems to have a bit more poke than the old one did ---------------------------------
