suspension settings

Off to the track this saturday for some more runs and just wondering is there anything i can do to my 09 busa ( factory stock ) that may help me at the drags. My bike knowledge is limited so be specific if you can.

Without spending mega bucks and a small time frame the only things that might help is A fresh tank of the highest octane fuel you can get with maybe an Octane booster added or half a cup of Kerosene to a full tank of fuel , Next take a tyre guage with you and drop your tyre pressure in the rear and make sure your front tyre is pumped to tyre specs or a little above. If you can find a quiet area where you are go and practice your launches , Make sure your bikes straight and your leaning over your tank grip the front brake gently and bring up the revs till the bike feel "tight" and wants to push on the brake, When ready let go the brake and go shifting at whatever revs you feel comfortable with the more the merrier I always say !! Rear tyre pressure is a fidly thing it all depends on the track temp and your tyre compound etc (dont forget to re inflate to correct road specs before u ride home) So trial and error is the way to go also a quick burnout before staging is also the go as it brings the rear tyre up to a warm/hot temp , Have fun and be careful and dont break anything !!!

Thanks Beanz. Is there anything i can do to the front and rear suspension? Compression, rebound and spring preload. By the way i am 6"6 and 110 kg.

Why the kero? Great for cleaning the chain I know, how does it influence performance in the fuel please?

A softer setting n your rear swingarm spring will give you more weight transfer and therefore more traction on launch but too less will put the front wheel in the air ! its all trial and error mate and takes time ive been doing it for twenty years and still have along way to go .I have a real nasty ford ute with almost 1000 hp on NOS and its a real bitch to get off the mark straight or keeping the front wheels on the deck !! A soft spring setting all round is my preferred method but im 6ft and 95kgs and I use NOS on my bike and as ive said been at it awhile . I hope some of my advice helps, theres plenty of guys on this forum/club so keep asking . Cheers
