Cylinder Spacers
#1
I have noticed on the APE website that you can get .100" and .125" cylinder spacers for their stroker kits. Is there any benefit to using one of these instead of an .080" on a turbo bike?

Would it also effect the timing chain tensioner?

some use the .100 your borderline on needing a aftermarket timing chain,a tensioner spacer may just give you enough.
Do you need to reduce the compression that much for a racebike that can have some very nice fuels to combat detonation without the loss of power from lower compression which would be noticable right where you need it most at launch

You can go to 125 thou without the need for an extended cam chain or roller chain.....but ya gotta ask why ?

Now i,m starting to understand why turbo drag bikes burn clutch plates.I,m engineering in the opposite direction.Looking at the shape of a turbo busas torque curve that has been decompressed they must need short gearing or big revs and lots of slip to 60ft.
