:-)
RSI is a worry Matturbo.
How many years worth for you and how much time do I have?
Any tips would be great too.

Bout 7 years, 5 in bands punk/hard rock so i played fast n hard. One important tip is ALWAYS stretch before you play, i was told that early in my career but being young n stupid (late teens/ early 20s) i didn't listen and now i can barely open a bottle of drink without discomfort Pi_freak , luckily bike levers are an exercise Very Happy
mmm
well im 50 so maybe I wont be on the planet long enough for rsi to set in.!!
Thanks for the tip.

No worries, you might be right then, lol. It only took around 6 or so years to set in, i hope you live longer than 56, lol.
But i used to rehearse for 3hrs twice a week, and play around 6 gigs a month, then i was teaching on top of that, so i always had stix in my hand (unless it was all a dream and i have wankers cramp) Lol2

Do you think I might have a chance at lead singer DJ ?
I haven't done much Ghastly

First time singing solo up on stage, I was 10 years old and sang, On the Banks of the old Hio.( Oliver Newton John )

Starting singing backings vocals early 80's with an original band called Field of Knives, Recorded and sang live with Kate Cerbrano a few times.
Our management was premier artist so we supported groups such as Kids in the Kitchen, I'm talking, Hunters and Collectors, Machinations, Divinyls, Hoodoo Gurus Etc Etc.

From there I was lead singer in a few cover and concept bands.
Played gigs in nearly every Melbourne pub and many country and snow gigs.
Won Battle of the bands, Star Hotel South Melbourne. Can't remember what year
Was in a Band called the House Warmers, Jimmy Hocking was our lead Guitarist. We ran a Muso's night at the Central Club Richmond for a few years mid to late 80s.

!996 and 1999 spent 2 x 5 months in Rhodes Greek Island, I was invited by a muso friend of mine who Iives there and still does.
I worked with him entertaining mostly the pommies who go there for vacations.
Worked in the bars and on also a small cruise ship a couple of days a week entertaining the tourists.

I think Gassick has something in mind, he plays bass and he's got all the gear at his place. Including an awesome PA system.

Play it loud, I'm black an I'm Proud Fatman

Sounds like a bit of fun guys. Pity I live in Sydney. When you guys get together make sure you video it! whether it's good or otherwise we wanna know the results.
Mutha, do you still do any pub work ? I am a music tragic so I probably saw you in one of those pubs with the ureal smell and the sticky carpetLol2
I feel sorry for the kids now because they don't have that live music scene to the same degree.
If you tour I can do a guitar cameo...say "little Wing" Johnson style (I wish!Lol3) Cheers all.

I'm good for a bit of guitar and a bit of bouzouki, but have problems playing a whole song... too much to remember!

I can be the guy to hit play on the CD player when you have an intermission! Coolsmiley

These days I have a day job, gotta pay the bills.
I get to have a sing at the Espy with the Phil Para Band occasionally and the occasional private party.

Yeh, That was probably meCoolsmiley
It's good you're keeping your hand in. Scene in Sydney is very quite, particularly for originals bands. The wankers that do all the bookings only want covers bands. Dunno what the Young Brothers would do if they were trying to break thru now.
Anyway
Cheers, and keep on rockin' in the free world!
