gearing for turbo bike

    Hi all just want to know what is the best gearing to run at the drags with a turbo bike. was running 16T front and ST rear but went to 17t front [ST] and ST rear and got my time down to 9.62. just wanted some input............

Depends on a lot of variables, weight, hp, wheelbase, etc etc.

Without seeing the bike run also makes a difference.

If you want an example:

My Gold bike: 300hp (approx), 100kg rider, 62" wheelbase(3"over), lowered etc, 18/45 gearing, crossing line top of 5th gear. best 8.5 at 170mph. with a 1.42 60'. Riden to and from track.

I found with the short bike (+2") taller gearing helped , best time on it was 9.2 with 18 40 gearing
