Well Fellars it will be on today.

Stoner is on poll with Pedrosa and Hayden making up 2nd and 3rd on the front row. Chris Vermeulen is on the 3rd row with Rossi
With Westy making the field on the back row ( poor bugga )

Loafie it appears that you would be 100% correct and that he may have smashed the lap record by nearly 2seconds if what I have heard is correct. Sinced Friday some of the front runners have been off including Stoner and apparently he is surprised that he is on the front row in Pole position. I have also heard that Chris was the 2nd fastest rider on race tyres through the morning session so yes hope all the Aussies have a good race.

fellars will have to wait for another round to see if Stoner can come up with the goods, but otherwise a good showing from the Aussies.

1st Pedrosa. Who also set the fastest lap for the race.

2nd Rossi ( worse Luck )

3rd Stoner. Set the Fastest Lap during practise which was quicker than the race record.

7th Chris Vermeulen
12th Ant West :aussie

Pedrosa's win was conclusive and there was not much at all between Rossi and Casey.
It's gonna be a fight to the finish for the title this year I reckon.

Caseys already missed out on too many points :(
Did they look fast or what, some of the corners it looked like a vid that had been speeded up

You're right Maj, he needs Rossi and Pedrosa to DNF at least once to make up the ground.

Stoners time to be better than the rest like the Doohans and Rossi's will come. The race that he and Rossi had for 2nd spot was nothing short of brilliant. Love him or hate I still believe that Rossi will go down as arguably the best there has ever been and will be, for some time yet!!!!

All that bucking and weaving by Stoner makes you wonder if there is some bullsh!t politics with the tyres... But surely he'd have been on the "A" tyres having qualified pole?

I have always wandered if you took Jeremy Berges away from the Yamaha camp / Rossi would the bike be as good as it is now. The guy is an absolute marvel when it comes to Bikes and certainly knows how to get the bikes best set up and running for the rider. I would like to have seen the guys that are coming through now on the bikes that Doohan, Rainey & Lawsen rode as I believe that those bikes were a lot harder to ride than what we have today.

Rossi certainly come into the series at the right time as all the big gones such as Doohan etc were all retiring so Rossi didn't really have much of the big names to push him like he's been getting in the last couple of seasons from the new up and comers.

I don't doubt that Rossi is a brillant rider but I will always wander if things were slightly different and not having such a good team to work with right from the word go and a Iconic Mentor like Doohan to learn from if all would be the same. But that's fate I spose teams will always go for the talented and is certainly that.
