Like I said before, the noise is not really noticable (at high revs), pretty obviuous at lower revs though.
The other posts relating to clutch slip are what u should pay attention to, and do the tests suggested.
On the tyre spinning up, I had a GSXR1100, and after buying it noticed "clutch slip", then realised it was infact the poxy rear tyre spinning!

It isn't that hard to just pull out the cluch plates and inspect and measure them.

I got the day off Wednesday, I'll pull it to pieces . Cheers

I should have read here before bidding :) . Did you get it ? I was bidding, only a gear set away from as complete spare motor for my racebike .

I got it yeah, I figure I' might be having it undercut and plonked in mine. Gonna try the clutch first see if it cures mine, if it does I'll pm you if you still want the gears
