PCIII benefits
#1
Hi all,
Was wondering what everyones' thoughts are on the Power Commander for the Bus.
I have to say that I'm VERY happy with the FI on the bike and after the stuttering, stumbling, farting VFR the Suzuki is SUPER smooth.
Does the PCIII make much of a difference and if so, is it worthwhile installing the ignition module as well? (wouldn't think the bike could get much smoother)

I've had a look at the DynoJet maps and they don't seem to be much different from stock.

Is it more viable to just stick with the stock setup and get the bike dyno'd and the factory ECU re-mapped?

Any info would be greatly appreciated, as I apparently have more money than sense and was thinking of "wasting" more on the bike....:)

Absolute waste of time and money. Why spend hundreds just so you can adjust what is already adjustable on the stock ECU.

Dont believe the hype. The only people who swear by them are the ones who either have them and dont realise their mistake or those who dont know better.

Figured as much since, as you said the factory ECU is adjustable.

For road riding good results are obtained with a yosh tune and a smart tre.As the weather has cooled even with the tre i,ve been using 91 octane as bruce has suggested, with no problems at all.The trouble with the pc ignition module is that if you tune to run close to detonation on one batch of fuel, the next batch of fuel could detonate. This is why tuners are reluctant to fit them for the cost versus small gain versus risk.If your using elf all the time,no problems.
