Hi there,

The standard battery for the ST1300 goes in without a hitch, it is a bit taller but it also has more guts than the stock battery. I'm still on the original battery and only had to charge after I was well enough to ride again.

As Glen66 said the YTZ14S is the ticket and I think its also the same one from the ST1300. Yuasa is a good brand usually get a long life from it. Beware of other brands though, some dodgy ones out there.

well Im going against the echo by saying that Yuasa OEM 12 not the 14 is the way to go. My 12 now over 8 yrs old and still good. The 14 is assembled/charged at factory so no telling how long its sat on the shelf before you get it. Some 14 buyers o'seas found out the hard way. The 12 you insert the acid so first charge is the day you get it. Im sticking with 12's. Unless your bike is so overloaded with accessories and need the extra CCA or live in alaska, I wouldnt go there. Your choice tho.

Allow me to echo those remarks, only had good service from Yuasa Even the nissans yuasa lived for six years despite the missus leaving the lights on and completely flattening it on at least 3 occasions.
