Color matching the beast
#1
Does anyone know the paint codes, especially the red and black as I have a couple of marks on the fairing after she rolled off the stand. I only wished that I'd read the previous discussion on the stand modification last week.

Hiya RichBusa,
Hope that you are, I had mine fall over, and the quotes on a scratch on the top of the front fairing was a minimum of $400, so after a few quotes, I'm giving up for a while. Apparently, its $250/500ml of the red!!!
Good luck,
regards
Rob

Depending where you are.....Bike Magic in East Moorabbin Melbourne will do touch ups for some pennies and they have the right codes for the colors.

I gave Bike Magic a call but didn't get too far when I asked for some touchup paint.

Just come home from night shift and appear to be having a few problems pressing the wrong buttons.... The guy at bike magic would not sell me any paint to do my own touchup. Told me that he would end up going broke. He told me to go and get the color matched at a car repairers. He then bragged that they wouldn't be able to properly match the color as it had taken a long time for bike magic to get the codes.... Looks like he wants to rip off as many as he can.

Humm, well I guess theyre not in the paint selling business and would want to do it themselves, so the question is are you able to get there for them to touch it. Or paging John Philips on this board (aka Foolhardy) maybe he has the codes.
