Yoshi Pipes
#1
I put a set of yoshi pipes on my 06 busa, when I first brought it.Today I got it back from the 18k service. While it was in they remapped the bike to suit the pipes, cost $100.00.

Well I must say it was worth every penny, I simply can"t beleive how much better it now goes. Been toying with installing a power comander, but I don't think I need to spend the money.
Question would I notice any gains from a power comander. Garry

Who did the remapping? Did they just remap the standard map?

Mick Dywer @ Penrith.
Not to sure what they did but its a huge improvement Garry

I suppose you would need to see the air/fuel ratio read out before any comments are made. Cheers,

I'm guessing its a yosh box tweak for $100. If the bike is running smooth now I doubt a PC will be worthwhile.

Yes it was a yoshi box tweak. It's very smooth. So I think I will save my money and give the pc a miss. unless someone can convince otherwise

You've hit the jackpot Garry. All you need for new pipes is a Yosh box tweak.
If you add a TRE get it done again just to make sure it is still right.

The minimal gain from a PC is not worth half of the cost I reckon.

I bet I've upset a few members now.

This my plan exactly, can't wait based on your Yoshi tune report. I have a set of Yoshimura RS3s, TRE and will be getting the airbox mod done at the same time as map check/adjust. Sounds like it will be a different bike to ride back from the SBK!

I don't follow you (literally) Kawa.

Are you trying to tell me that a PC and dyno worth about $1000 all up is worth about 5 maybe 10 hp, if you are lucky, when just a yoshi box tweak is only about $100?
