Cush Drive

The component that fits into the rear hub and has the sprocket attached has numerous marks on the surface that slopes at about 45% towards the hub.

I have been told by the dealer that all Busas have this and it is not an indication of fatigue. Given my limited (no existed) knowledge of such things and in particular the types of alloys involved can anyone advise if I should be taking this to Suzuki.

I checked out new bikes on the showroom and I have not seen the same on any of those bikes.

I get nervous about verbal assurances from mechanics and if appropriate I will put it in writing in case of future events..

Being fairly new, I'm noseying around the old post.

I've heard this is normal in 1k bike sprockets. They look like cracks, but aren't. More worrying is the same thing being reporting by some on the busa swing-arm. They do seem to be cracks.

They're just casting marks. No Big deal. Could have polished mine out before the cush drive cover was nickel plating but couldn't be bothered sanding with wet and dry for an hour or so. Same goes on the swing arm. Maybe they over cooked the crust on certain cheesecakes huh!
Cheers, Phil.
