Snowy Ride 15th Nov 2003
#1
For anyone not familiar with this great annual event, you can check out the details at :- www.snowyride.com.au

It`s still a little ways off yet,but for those coming to the event and are looking for accommodation, there`s still a few vacancies at our Lodge. It`s at the `Snow Country Ski Club` Jindabyne.
One of our group is a member and therefore prices are literally half of that found at other lodges.

$150 for Unit ( 1xdouble,2xsingles) for `2 NIGHTS`
$60 for BED ( shared unit ) for `2 NIGHTS`

As a group,we generally take over the WHOLE complex and needless to say,the weekend`s always a REAL HOOT!!

If anyone`s interested, just email me at :- frank.lovasz@bigpond.com and I will put you in touch with KEN ( he`s the member and organizer at the lodge )
We`re looking to have final confirmed bookings within the next 2 weeks.

Cheers Franko

PS: As the time of the event nears,I`ll do another posting,so we can organize a GROUP RIDE down.
PPS: What a great opportunity this event is for a MEETING AND FABULOUS RIDE between us Northerners and our Southern brethren,eh?

Franko,

Might be able to arrange some Newcastle riders for the weekend. Couple of us can not make PI due to work commitments and were thinking of an extended weekend thru the Snowy's etc in November as an alternative and in the interests of keeping the Boss at home trained.

Problem is that Plod might be around the big weekend and we were considering an alternative. Still a group, flock, phalanx (WTF), flight, squadron, drone etc of Busa's might be somthing else.

I will monitor developments and we can speak on the wireless when we can.

G'day
I think you might find plod has a more relaxed attitude at the snowy ride, like mere speeding could be OK. Supersonic speeds or speeding in heavy traffic could attract his attention, though.
It's a good weekend, for sure.

Franko, just might join you guys, I was up at Thredbo a couple of weeks ago with the family and thought....... about all the years I came up this way in the late 70's and 80's attending the Alpine Rally's on my trusty XS1100 . Good countryside for quick riding but hey behind every piece of scrub was old Bill and his Laser

Will be in touch
