Gen 1 does not have a slipper clutch as such - but it does have a back torque limiter and yes - they all have steering dampers ;)
Ahh ok, I thought he was referring to replacing the oem shock with something like an ohlins and then getting that setup.

Gen2 has an OEM stroke of 65mm as apposed to 63mm on Gen1.[/b]
Better Head Flow & more stroke = More Torque.
Gen2 81mm bore Cylinder Blocks tend to crack after being bored out.
Gen2 have a shit fairing as apposed to Gen1.
I'm not worried about the longer stroke of the Gen2 and the more torque it will provide, either will have so much more torque than my 750, and that's all that matters.
I have no plans to ever open the motor and bore it out, so this isn't an issue even if I was to go for a Gen2 over a 1. But thanks for the info, good to know.
