Sharp helmet de-stinker
#1
In Feb AMCN page 101 they reviewed the Sharp Plasmacluster helmet ionizer (to get rid of stinky helmet). Seems it may work? Cost: $149
Having the time I searched around and they seem to be around $130 - $140 on the 'net.
However Sharp themselves have them on special for $49.01 !
Same model etc, but it costs $20 postage which makes it $70.
Still half price tho!

$140?? Scary shiet! You could almost buy a whole new helmut for that lol, not a real good one but a legal one anyway. I have a Shoei and occasionally pull all the padding out that I can, wash them in a bucket off warm water and cloths washing detergent. Need to replace the water about 4 or 5 times till the water is clean after washing. And just use a damp sponge to clean the remaining cloth inside the helmut. Makes a huge difference to the smell lol

As above + get some Febreeze from Coles or Woolworths. Spray and as it dries it neutralises any stubborn odours.

Brock Polariser - I want one!
Can you still by them?

Australian MotorCycle News gave the helmet ioniser a pretty good write up.
I kinda like the smell of fear inside my helmets!
(must be similar to how farts smell, to yourself, and to others, perhaps??)

Any upholstery cleaning foam from super cheap should clear any odours. You get a variety as well.

Me too. anything that reminds me from time to time of where I am and how fast I am going is a good thing.
