I'm still trying to figure out why kamikaze pilots wore helmets???

Maybe to keep there ears warm!

Between the cold air,turbulence,wind noise and the fact that these planes rattled more that a gravel truck their helmets where essential to co ordinate their suicidal attacks

I thought they wore them incase of an accident.

I think it's for the same reason that skydivers wear helmets.......it makes it just a little bit easier to scoop up all the left over bits and pieces!! Lol3
