Ok, just to ensure we are comparing apples with apples
The Front Wheel weighs 5.108kg this includes cast rim (wheel ), 2 bearings, 2 seals and the valve placed in the rim so to be exact an amount needs to be deducted for the valve. Does not included discs or mounting bolts (3.432kg ) The Rear Wheel weighs 8.982kg this includes cast rim (wheel), cush drive ally casting, cush drive rubbers, 40T sprocket, sprocket mounting bolts, 2 off wheel bearing and seals, cush drive bearing and seal, cush drive to wheel spacer. Does not include rear disc and mounting bolts (1.091kg) So all cast/forged mag/ally wheels and Carbon Fibre wheels on the market these days normally come supplied with bearings/spacers / cush drive and a sprocket. This last paragragh is related to the guy / company that is selling the Marvic wheel package so for all and sundry to make a fair weight comparision ..that is if weight is ones only concern. Remember the weight of the wheel has a direct correlation to acceleration, braking and turn in. hope this helps

Throwdown , all the info is there to do the calcs. That is a pair. You need to contact the seller of the Marvic wheels as to what is the exact weight with all the bits and pieces attached so that a fair comparision can be made. Ask him to weigh the wheels on scales capable of reading to a gram. That way you can see how many dollars each gram costs?????????????????
Bathroom scales will not do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheaper to go on a diet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! alllllllwight

I've always said that. Some people change pegs because they are lighter. IF weight is to go, my waist should be the first port of call

I'm working on the personal weight thing, but at the moment I'm in denial that I have a beer gut. It's much easier to blame the bike. That thing's a fat bastard.
