Was driving around the Wagga/Corowa area for work on Wednesday when the storms starting coming through the area. Took a couple of pics on the phone:-

I wish we had storms like that over here mate in the SI ...

Best we can do in NZ is this shitty weather that kept me grounded for 3 days back in September ...and I ran out of beer on day 1 .

Geez raphel, thats some pretty serious snow storms. What part of the south island do you live. I was over there about 6 years years ago travelling around and doing some fly fishing for trout, it's sensational country

Hi Brett , we're placed on the Port Hills just South of Christchurch at a height of about 300m ASL , this amount of snow does'nt happen very often, maybe every couple of years . You must come back and I'll lend you the 'Busa for a squirt , bring your fishing rod and a case of beer and you're good to go mate ....R

I have wanted to get back over there. Need a bit longer than the 10 days I was there last time. I flew into Christchurch, then drove across to the Murchison area then down the west coast to Franz Joseph. There is some amazing scenery and mountains

Fantastic shots Brett.
Rod, I got belted by that storm yesterday in the bus - it's a big sail in the wind!
