I just don't wanna call a police station to find out,
vicroads have nothing
so maj : how much is that fine in tha window for having nos connected to a street bike,or can ya get permits and such,?

I am, as well, very interested. Does it mean that its OK to have Nos, but, the lines must be physically disconnected from the supply bottle/bottles?

If i remember correctly, i know in qld anyway, u are not aloud to have bottles, or solanoids in the vehicle, if you have ether they will fine u asmuch as if u had it all conected and runing, and off the top of my head i think the fine was somewere between $10'000 and $25'000,
Or i could be confusing that with the catalyst laws for cars, iv been known to get a little mixed up lately lol,

There is an ADR about transporting oxidisers
and specific regulations on vic road site for nos
Regulation 220 of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009 provides that ..... Nitrous oxide systems are not acceptable on motor vehicles used on the public roads. .

transporting an oxidiser in the boot of a car without appropriate firewall, near a fuel source and near an ign source could potentially cost up to $10,000, don't know where a bike would stand on that one

Also a small bottle like an 8 oz will only last seconds

Yep a 10oz bottle is useless, after one shot the pressure will be too low to be any use at all. Hide a 5 pound bottle under the hump and fit it with a bottle warmer to ensure reliable constant pressure.

Out of curioisity I've downloaded the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009, but can't find the reference. Do you have a page number by any chance?
