This is part of a news paper report on a guys accident from another forum. I figured people who organise country runs to stay away from our favourite people might take note...also with the double deripoff period coming up might want to rethink any runs...getting so its safer left in the garage!
Last year, the national Easter road toll was 10, with one fatality in WA, where there will be double demerits in force from Thursday until next Tuesday. Police will also focus on country roads.
This year, 21 people have died on WA country roads, a disproportionate percentage of the overall toll of 46. WA country road deaths are up five and total road deaths are up six.

I'd expect the usual South-West Highway, Albany Highway and southern end of the Gt Northern.

I'm with Bazman......I'd rather park the busa for a few days (give 'er a spit n' polish) than risk losing it on double demerits.

Well i went to court recently and did not see one case get off or a reduction of fine or points for speeding so my busa is parked for the weekend after a recent loss of 5 points. These lasers and radars are tested prior to starting there shifts and calibrated regularly. The officers are also tested annually for competency. So if you win over here in the west you are one of a very fortunate few. Already witnessed a landcruiser behind me in the car this morning get caught on the freeway this am. ouch at 7.30am.

What we need is more unsubstantiated claims that radars and cameras are in fact not accurate and sooner or later lots of people will begin to question them leading to their being abandoned thus giving us back our freedom

Ah what I'm trying to say is who cares how accurate the camera's/handhelds are...if enought Sheep...sorry public... believe they are inaccurate then the scardy cat politicians might consider scrapping them.... they'd do anything to stay in power.

Yeah but the revenue they bring in is enough not to scrap them.
You never hear the opposition bag the incumbent Government (Whoever that maybe) in regards to Politician Perks & wages. Somethings on the gravy train you just don't fiddle with.

Well I think its time that train was derailed...its cost the economies of several European countries and probably had more of an impact on the yankland one than many imagine...
