Ok the route will be something like this...

Sydney/Melbourne/Hobart/Melbourne/Adelaide/Uluru/Darwin/Broome/Perth/Esperance/Adelaide/Broken Hill/Longreach/Townsville/Cairns/Brisbane/Sydney.

A little bit of a figure 8 type thing.

Hi John,
Met you a couple of times, last being at The Mt White Cafe.

If I decide on bringing my ride accross the guts of Australia forward I might decide to join you on the run Adelaide/Uluru/Darwin Then part Co and go my own way. Just wondering when next year are you planning this because if I have early notice I could possably work out my A/L and have plenty of notice to prepare.

Just a thought at this stage!

Have fun, it's one of those things that should be in every motorcycle riders' bucket list. I did it a few years ago on my previous ZX14. Went anti-clockwise around the outside. Left Canberra in May and hit Perth and then across the Nullabor Plain in August - bitterly cold and wet and windy - but fantastic weather up top. If I were to do it again I would stay up north longer to avoid the winter on the return leg.

We did this trip in '02 in a Kombi and took about 6 months , great time .
Would be great to do it on a 'busa
