tech heads need help

ok there must be some pc guru,s in this club all of a sudden today my favorites refuse to work all i have now is the name of the site plus a .url on the end if i click on it it does sfa is there an easy fix or is it time for a reformat?

Find the site. Right click on the properties of the selected favorite and copy paste the address in?
I'm no tech head but it's how I would fix it

do a search on your PC , type in favorites, its usually something like C:/documents and settings/ all users/favorites have a look in there

done all of the above if i type the site and save it to my favorites it saves fine but it still wont link up if i click on it

Ask DJPete. he fixed mine up for me ages ago, downloaded a program and he could see whats on my computer from where he was, wherever that is. And fixed it up quick smart

What version of windows and I am assuming it is Microsoft internet explorer if so what version of this also??

i as using 7 but just upgraded to 8 and all seems to be back again

my favorites were always there they just stopped working even the IE shortcuts i had on my desktop didnt work why i have no idea but all working now i probobly deleted something and it deleted something else but down loading IE8 fixed the problem for now lets see what happens in the future
