They are great if you can get one in time. When I travel on my own, I just grab every biker I see at a petrol station and make them spray while I push. People are generally really nice and I've never had a knock-back.

I tend to go the obvious option where possible!! I'd never seen one of those fabulous foldable stands until I saw the one Bruce took around the country, I didn't know they existed until then. The old 'asking for help' trick has always worked! People on bikes look out for each other. If you are anything like me, you'll end up picking up friends on the road anyway.

Well the other half got home this arvo, I exited said 'look what I did' and proudly showed him the new cleaner ass end of the bike....

He frowned, said 'what'.... 'can't tell the difference'.... Blokes!!! I tell ya, just like noticing hair colour or hair cuts!!!

My little info gathering I completed in the last couple of days on bike mechanics in local area, surprised him. At least he took notice of that.

Me thinks I will leave post it notes reminding him of my achievments. - lol

another thing i had on my trip i took up north earlier in the year is a 300psi air compressor that runs off your bike battery, its about the size of a lunch box and was only $20 from bunnings, handy for inflating tyres where ever you are and for inflating airbeds too
