Hi all, have been lurking for while now. It was suggested to me that i introduce myself. My name is Kent, i do not currently have a bike as i sold all my toys to fund the house i'm living in. Have been riding for approximately 24 years. Bikes i've owned are TY175B (that was a while ago), XR250, XR600, Z1000 (76 model). I do have a 700 Grizzly here for playing in the mud with, my next purchase will be a busa when funding allows it.
Unfortunately i have no photo's of them, all my pics have been lost due to my old PC releasing all of its "Factory smoke" from the hard drive.
I fell in love with the Busa when a mate of mine showed up on one a couple of years ago and have wanted one since then.
My occupation is a Subsea Service Engineer, basically we are responsible for placing a great big valve (80 tonnes) on the ocean floor (subsea tree). This valve regulates the flow of oil/ gas to the onshore/ offshore (FPSO) processing facility. We are also responsible for the pressure testing and maintenance of the running tools and umbilicals that go along with all this equipment. We contract to most of the oil companies and they have us store, run and maintain their subsea equipment for them. I see we also have a saturation diver on the forum, he will know exactly what all this stuff is.
I'm a motor mechanic by trade and if anyone needs any help let me know, i do read alot and will help out and contribute where and when i can.
She who must be obeyed has told me that i cant have anymore toys until the shed is built. However, once i get the busa you can be assured i will be riding to the Busa Bash from Darwin, anything for a party.

Gday kent and welcome, get that shed built and you will be having fun.once you get a bussa and go for a spin and you get seen riding around people will be pointing the bike out for miles around youll have a smile that goes from ear to ear,thats what happens when you own a bussa

Welcome Kent.
You need to tell the "one that must be obey'd" that you need the Busa first in order to determine the correct size of the new shed.

Thanks for the Welcome guys, much appreciated.
Looking at a 12 x 7mtr shed to store the rest of our crap,
the 40' container we currently have serving the purpose is really starting to get annoying.
The container will become an extension on the back of the shed once built, will serve as a bit of a cyclone buffer as well.
Just have to stop the procrastination and get the slab done but the weather, like everywhere else is so unpredictable and is typical of our wet season atm. Not mention i will be heading back offshore on the 24th for more than likely a month.
I will succeed and get it all done, hopefully by June/ July it will be all finished.
Would really like to do the trip around Oz like others have done in previous threads and it would be ideal to throw Tathra into the mix, if i can get the timing right. Doubt it will be this year though.

Hey mate welcome. I'm half considering heading up that way at Easter, if not, I'm going across for the SA catchup at the end of the year. You should head down for that if you have shoreleave.

Thanks Heidi, if you're considering coming up this way i would leave it till late June-ish.
Around Easter time the "wet" is coming to an end, the sun is starting to beat down and the moisture is starting to come back out of the ground.
Makes for a real battle with the humidity, especially if you're not used to it, the other worst time to be here is October/ November in the "Build Up" just before the wet. Great time for airconditioning.
But by all means if you do come this way, let me know, we will have a bed ready, somewhere for your bike undercover and 5 acres for you to run around under the sprinkler. Did i also mention we have a 3 year old, whom also loves to run around under the sprinkler, you will be fit by the time you leave.
Same goes for anyone else needing a place to stay if ever up here, just give me a couple of days notice so i can put the grizzly away so you have somewhere to park your rocket undercover.
I LOVE three year olds, they are my favourite. We tend to find the same things funny. If I'm up your way I'll call in, thanks for the offer.

Will have to go for a blast on the quad and get some mud crab for you before you come, that is if you eat it of course?
