I've had a really annoying rattle on the front end for a few months and not been able to pin it to anything. 1st off I thought it was the aftermarket horn as I could see marks on the fender where it had caught under braking heavy but not that cos it made the "clunk/rattle' just rolling in and out of the garage. I replaced the head bearings thinking that was it but nope. Didn't pay much more attention to it as it hasn't affected handling in any way and couldn't feel anything coming through the steering. So today as it's peeing down and the misses is watching a backlog of Bold and DooL I decided to track it down once and for all. Took fairings off still same, so eliminated that, took strg damper off, horn, windscreen, finally tracked it down to a loose brake pad. Hit a bump it rattles, travels through the front end and the front fender acts like a loudspeaker.. New pads better fit in the calpier, bobs your uncle and fannies your aunt jobs a gooden. No more noise. If I'd thought about it more I would of realised it only came on after fitting new pads last time but hindsight is great thing. As I recal when I fitted them I didnt get to ride it for a while after. Anyhoo all good. Just sommat to think about when loking for spurious rattles and clunks
