But I did kind of enjoy it, there must be something really wrong with me Undecided

Thanks for the Download Volvi, I going to start practicing my Doof Dance, just in case I get invited to a Rave party Fatman

Firstly no I didnt make or have anything to do with that track am not a dj at all, but I have to say I just love the stuff. Yes am into all the 80's and of course ye old '70's and early 90's bit sorta lost touch of hip hop mid 90's. But I reckon thats when Trance sorta took over and got to really appreciate it. Am one them that grew up on the disco floor early 70's.

But one event changed it all for me, it was a New Years Eve bash 97/98 when invited to go along with a few friends to a large shed in the docks of Port Melbourne. It was Gay & Lesbian party, and I said hey thats not for me am not into that scene never attended one in my life etc. But was told not to worry you wont have to wear a steel plate on your arse just come along and see how they can party. I did, it was frakkin fantastic. I was movin and a shakin all the way till dawn I just loved the muzak. If anyone can remember "Beachball" by Nalin & Kane was the hit at the time. I was told at the time in answer to my question why all the water drinkers, coz they were pill poppers, just showed ya how much I knew of the scene at the time. All my friends pill popped but I didnt. They were all done and dusted by 4am whilst I was still moving to the hypnotic music, the music itself was drug enough for me. So ever since Ive just loved this style of music, love how you can close your eyes and move almost meditavely and in a state of trance. i find the music almost enchanting with magic. When I first heard that theme as above in the promo it sent a shiver down my spine with a burst of emotion......so yea it touches me in all the right places lol......guess it aint bad for a 53yo 'ol fart, who aint quite dead just yet.

Fantastic stuff,i had to carry 2 x 12" subs in my falcon wagon for 2
yrs until my son got his first car. I used to listen to Dj Tiesto in search of sunrise, now i love it ,especialy on a long ride through the
helmet headphones.Unfortunately the music makes your right wrist
twist anti clockwise.

Well Volvi you are just a wee bit older than me & you`ve been to a rave of which I missed out, growing a young family at the time.Well done with finding & enjoying this type of music. I try my best to listen to as much club music as I can. It certainly stirs the soul. "HERE`S JOHNNY bow bow bappabow" Idiot2

ive been to two raves about 5 yrs ago.
one at docklands
one at the hotel near southgate where they just had the punchups.

Absolutely loved both.
Fantastic light and sound show, great people and as Volvi says a very friendly crowd.

But like anything there are good raves and bad raves.
I have listened to a lot of techno, trance, etc as its one of my favorite genres of music, but there is a lot of crap out there.
All interpretational of course.
But if you have the right show....

Volvi the best Dvd I have ever watched is Underworld - Everything Everything.
Still gives me that shiver you talk about whenever I watch it.
If you can track it down buy it.
U wont regret it.

Underworld were here last NYE but not as a full show so I didn't want to go and be let down..I don't want to wreck the memories of their music...weird...lol

To me Raves prove one thing...We ARE all connected.
A lot of rave, dance, trance music etc to me, is about a lot of deeper things like...dare I say it...
Hope, Love, Optimism about the future etc etc.
Its in us all.

Good words DJ. Especially the "we are all connected" which is very true. Music not only a universal language but breaks down the barriers that we create amongst ourselves and 'tancends' the mundane bickering. With Trance you can have a sea of people of all colour, creed and sexual preferences, in what otherwise would normally divide many from one another, but not at a rave swaying and moving in common language. Its almost spiritual as to which you allude to. Thx I will try to source that DVD, I know you especially know all about music in its various forms. I should say I also love the old classics of Ludwig, Mozart and Vivaldi etc. Whilst on the opposite end of the spectrum still arouses the same emotions and passion....if not more.
