racefit exhaust
#1
Hey everyone
Just thought i wud share my experience on my k9 and the new Racefit twin exhaust i just had fitted by Balls Performance. I bought the exhaust from Racefit in Qld and it is a twin 3/4 system that uses standard headers and eliminates the cats. The whole system only weighs like 3 kgs its insane! The power delivery is awesome and the sound is like no other. Absolutely amazing. George from Balls Performance installed the system and mentioned he had never done one b4..He was so impressed by the increase in power that he said he was going to start stocking this brand. He was blown away after riding my bike..We installed Bmc race airfilter and changed the plugs and gave bike a remap and proper tune. Bike wheelies in 2nd straight off throttle which is damn impressive on a big heavy bike like this! The system is the growler model and looks amazing just like the gp pipes on Rossi's bike..Check out their site @ www.racefitexhaust.com.au

Yes u r right! Pipes were over $2k and yes they are loud but they are worth it in weight loss, horsepower gains and the sound is mezmorizing! I am off to Tazzie next week for 7 days of touring then maybe a track day at the Island after that..

Hey mate, I'm glad the pipes are working out for you!

What computer system did you use for the retune? A PCIII or such?

I have the RF as well and a K & N filter and am tossing up between getting a PC3/tune or not, so I would be interested to see how you go!

Any idea of how much HP you got in the end?

Balls Performance did a injection tune, remapped factory ecu, balanced throttle bodies and adjusted the TPS Switch. They fitted a Bmc race air filter to improve flow and also installed NGK Iridium spark plugs. They caled the tune a 3th tune?
Not sure on hp gains as we did not dyno the bike. Balls said a minimum of 6-8 hp gain maybe more..The bike feels so much more punchier now and not that it didnt out of the box!!
