Hey all,
we had a ride last weekend, we started off Friday afternoon from Maitland....on the way there i collected a screw in my front tyre see below picture Frown, now i was worried that the weekend was gonna be a shocker as rain was forecast as well but so far so good the local suzuki dealer had the front tyre repaired in about 15 minutes!!!, we left Maitland pretty well on time with 19 bikes headed for Gloucester....we arrived up there all safe with no incidentsYes

front tyre repair Yuk!!!

Saturday morning we were all up early with no where to go all the Cafe etc don't open till 9am but we did persuade someone to open at 8am which helped out a bit...4 more bike rolled in about 8:15am so everyone that was coming had arrived.

heading up the thunderbolts way....what an awsome ride up the mountain, the Busa really pulled effortlessly away from the pack (most were cruisers) but staying between the slower riders and catching up to the quicker riders just to spice it up Very Happy
we reached the top of the mountain to find an awsome view.

Better view the mighty Busa
the guys were telling me on that from that point to walcha was 300 kph territory and that it should only take on a busa about 20 mins to get to Walcha? well i think it took a bit longer than that but not that much it was an awsome ride the front guys took of and they said they would average about 170-180 kph so we gave them a good head start and i figured that the cops would get them first (hopefully) a few of the other sports type bikes played for a while till it opened up then i think iscared a few guys passing them at a great knot of speed but the Busa felt so stable at speed...it's truely a credit to Suzuki for making this type of Bike so stable even at such high speeds...i didn;t make the magic number but just shy i ran out of Gonads without leathers....maybe next time!
we all made Walcha and them moved on as a pack to Scotty's choppers in Uralla....
i'm not into choppers at all but these guys are amazing...they are the only Australian motorbike Manufacuter!!! they are fully complianced to make a bike from scratch and register it...awsome workshop well worth the tour!!! after that we headed to Tamworth for the night.
the next morning we were going to go through Nundle then Scone Merriwa and back to Maitlnd but it was poring so we just headed straight down the highway, we dodged a few police on the way.the pack were cruising most of the way back at 150 or so and we did see two police but they just didn't even bother??? i don't mind...all in all it was a great ride, i copped so many stone chips though and bugs caught in all the joins on the K8...but thats riding.

Great pics. I love Thunderbolts Way!

Many of the Aussie Hayabusas have parked on that bit of gravel car park... Pi_thumbsup (while their riders took a pee in the little "environmentally friendly" tin shed nearby)

Looks like it was a perfect day for a ride, and to average 170-180kmh makes it even better. Love the white busa.
