Took the girl for a ride on the back of the bike today, went through the back of Bowral and down Macquarie Pass. Was a massive work out getting down. Once down the bottow, thought I'd better fill up for the long ride back up and back home. As I left the servo I noticed i had a flot - a bloody screw in the rear tyre.
Nice, just what you want on a public holiday 100km from home. ended up putting a tin of tyre weld in, did nothing. another can, and another. finally made a leap of faith to get home, and made it up Mt Ousley and half way along picton road, until it got flat again and I just couldnt ride it.
ended up having to get a lift in the trailer.
what an ass of a day........ didnt even get to do Macquarrie pass up hill.....
one plus, I needed a new tyre anyhow, lucky it was a dead old one!

man you need to get a tubeless repair kit complete with the little high pressure bottles. you will never get stuck again
The tubeless repair kits are the go, i have one that takes up minimal room under the tail , with the C02 cylinders and are Approx $60 which is good value when you consider the feck around of a flat tyre.
A quick foot note I get my spare C02 cylinders from a pushbike shop and they are 1/2 the price from MCA..
advice well taken.... Got a new tyre today, Mich Pilot Sport, and got a repair kit for $40.
Came back home, spent about 2 hours with the pressure spray cleaning the crap off the bike, and took it back to Macquarie Pass, down then up. Called it a victory and came home. Now that was a better day.
I tried to feel sorry for you but it just isn't in me.
You got to ride the pass and I didn't.
Spent an enjoyable couple of hours on it after PI last year.
Made it most of the way down on the first pass with a mate before we got hauled up by the cages. Not to worry a quick U turn and up we went again until we hit the cages again for our next U turn. I was on a BB which got pretty heavy after a couple of hours but gee someone had to do it. Made all the more enjoyable with blueant interphones and colourful conversations. Well he does ride like a girl.
well my week just got better. Rolled the bike out of the garage to take her for a spin...... AND IT FELL OFF THE BLOODY STAND!!!!!!!! got a few scratches...... nothing major, but will be a bit of work to fix... Most of the scratches are on the stickers... has anyone has any luck replacing stickers on the fairings??

Good weather, good woman, good road, good bike, good-bye!!
Max, are the stickers easy to replace, I had a look at them last night and there are just a couple that I need to ro do to get it about 80% repaired, but are they simple to stick down, there are lots of curves etc and looks like you have to be fairly accurate with you sticking..... it is a nice looking bike, just a shame I keep damaging it in silly ways.

If you are a calm and collective individual it's a breeze.Spraying some water mixed with some dish washing soap on the panel is a must if you want to move them around until you get the right the position and squeege the rest out with an aplicator and let dry.On the other hand a MCycle spray painter would be the go.

Dunno about how simple mate. I've got the new sticker aand am going to have a body repair shop put it on. They have to be spot on and I don't want to bugger it up. I placed a "Yoshimura" sticker over three of the deepest gauges on the right side fairing and just about polished the least serious scratches out. Sucks but then at least we're out riding the damned things mate. That's the most important thing!
Cheers
