how to cut silicone hose?

Silly question here but i have a 3 foot long silicone turbo hose and need to cut the air box to throttle body adapters, Whats the best way to cut them right the first time cause this stuff is not cheap. I thort bout a bit of electrical tape for marking the right line but not sure what to use to cut it with?

sharp shears like tinsnips or very heavy duty sissors, i use sheep foot shears.. whatever leaves a clean edge.Mark it out, don't try to cut it in one blow or it will not be straight
