Just make sure those levers are as good or better than stock.E bay brake levers have broken on other members bikes.Be careful.

I have always thought that gold trim on the old Red/Blacks was a nice touch and have been leaning that way for a couple of years now myself.
A little bit here and there makes a big difference.
