G'day Paul,
I am not sure if you think that a Yoshi tune has something to do with the Yoshi pipes.
It does in a way, but it is more a fuel map setting device that simply modifies the ECU to supply more or less fuel to the engine.
You can have a yoshi box adjustment made to any busa whether it has aftermarket pipes of any description, or just stock cans.
I had one done to adjust the fuel mixture and it made a world of difference to the torque down low and in the mid range where I use it most.
You have to have the idle set properly to about 1100 rpm and the Timing Position Sensor set to the correct position before playing with the fuel map.
"If time catches up with you. You're going too slow!"

I recently had a yoshi re mapping. Well worth the $100.00. smoothed the bike out, especially in the lower rev range. So before you spend extra $'s on a pc, the remapping is worth a try. I get slighty better feul comsumption.

Paul.
They didn't dyno tune my bike just a re map. But it worked wonders.
really smoothed things out.
I have a set of yoshi cans (slipons). R22's. Rode it for about 10000ks before I had the remap. So I really noticed the difference.

Might of been me, I have full yoshi pipes and a PC3 had it dyno tuned about 8 mths ago as was running too rich. You can get away with stock black box for slip ons but not for full pipes a PC3 is needed for dyno tune.
Was quite expensive after a few runs (due to extra mods airbox, valve, gear sensor) and they had to apply a full akrapovic map for the best result. PM me for more info I keep meaning to post the reports but never got around to scanning them.
Bike has run awsome ever since, super smooth, very responsive and of course sounds awsome.
From memory I think it's somewhere around 145 rwhp and a very flat and wide torque curve over 100nm.
Cheers,
Dave
Ah, sorry 174 RWHP not 145.. Must of been thinking of my old Gixer.
Cheers,
Dave

Bit of mis info going on here, the yosh box allows some scope for adjustmet to the stock ECM and certainly enough to correct for a full 4:1 exhaust and airbox mod. Several of us have had it done and it works fine but find a tuner that knows what he is doing, not a boy scout on jobweek! The tuner uses the dyno to load the motor at various points and samples the air/fuel ratio. On that information, the yosh box can then be used to adjust fuel injection.
