OK, the plans have expanded a bit, and the date will be in July, for a get together involving a meal. Meal/Get-together regardless of weather. If weather is good, then a ride beforehand.
Can anyone suggest a Melbourne pub (or similar) where we could get our own bit of space (seperate room, even) but still order in the bistro/counter. Preferably something with a bit of atmosphere, or a reputation for good food/service/prices. Nothing too sterile and clinical...
What a dissapointing response Richard. Maybe all the Melbourne riders are feeling the cold. If this is the reponse to this idea, come out to a pub in Sunbury and I'll push my bike there. (No licence, doh!) Love to have a bite to eat and a beer with you, regards Phil.
MFJ, top idea, have often gone for a spin to Sunbury, and the pubs are pretty good there. So one can have a little ride there and back too. Of course it helps if the weather would be dry. How about looking into it mfj, and check whether we can have an area to ourselves, and access to a bistro?
We could all meet at the Caltex on Kingsway just before the on ramp to the west gate, then get on the Bolte bridge to Sunbury.

Your one up on me Volvi, I haven't been to any Pubs in Sunbury even though I live there. What Pub do you think might be suitable? What day of the week would suit everyone? Let me know and then I'll make an inquiry. Let's here from a few others, what's your veiws on this proposal???

We will arrange two times/meetings. One in the afternoon for a ride, and then at the hotel. Regardless of weather, dinner still to be on.
Meeting 1: 2:00 p.m. Sat 21st July, Shell servo, Westgate Freeway, South side of freeway (i.e. Geelong bound)
Meeting 2: 7:00 p.m., The Olive Tree Hotel, crn Evans & Station St Sunbury
